# clearance_system ## Purpose The clearance system defines security access levels for personnel and defines which information, SCP records, systems, and operational areas a personnel member is authorized to access within the facility. It is the primary mechanism for enforcing information security and containment confidentiality in aplication layer. --- ## Clearance Levels ### Level 0 * Basic facility access. * No access to SCP documentation. * Restricted to non-sensitive administrative or maintenance systems. ### Level 1 * Limited operational access. * May view low-risk SCP summaries. * May access assigned tasks and basic internal systems. ### Level 2 * Standard operational clearance. * Access to non-sensitive SCP records. * May participate in supervised containment or research activities. ### Level 3 * Elevated research and security clearance. * Access to confidential SCP documentation. * May authorize certain experiments under supervision protocols. ### Level 4 * High-level administrative clearance. * Access to the majority of SCP records and facility systems. * May approve containment procedures and experiment proposals. ### Level 5 * SCP Foundation command clearance. * Unrestricted access to all SCP data and operational systems. * Authority over every containment policy, personnel assignment and emergency protocols. --- ## Access Control Rules - Access to SCP records is strictly limited by clearance level requirements defined in the SCP table. - Personnel may only access SCP entries where [personnel.clearance >= scp.clearance]. - Unauthorized access attempts are logged in **activity_log**.
